Sizing Guide

The most common questions we have been asked over the years are all about bed size.
The following bed size information is to clear up the confusion caused by the different names that are used to refer to different bed sizes.  Much of the confusion is caused by European and American sizes and the terminology that is very different from that of our own. This information is accurate for the standard Ireland & UK bed sizes.

2ft6 Small Single

75cm x 190cm or 2'6" x 6'3

Typically found where space is at a real premium, the small single size mattress is slim enough to fit into very tight spaces and still gives a sensible sleeping surface for one.

3ft Single

90cm x 190cm or 3' x 6'3"

This is the UK & Ireland single mattress size and the size people mean when they talk about a standard single mattress. This is the most common bed size for children beds

4ft Small Double

120cm x 190cm or 4' x 6'3"

Narrower than a standard double, so-called ‘Small Double’ mattresses are ideal for occasional use (such as for guest bedrooms) – this provides just enough room for two.

6ft Superking size
